Top Mark Tutors provides online one-to-one GCSE tutoring to parents and guardians on behalf of their children. We are not an exam board and we are not affiliated with any exam board. If you have a question about these terms, contact info@topmarktutors.co.uk.

The free diagnostic is a relaxed 30-minute online conversation with your child to understand what they find difficult and agree achievable goals. It is a conversation, not an assessment or test. No payment details are needed, and there is no obligation to book lessons afterwards.

• Lessons are booked individually or as a one-off block of four or more lessons.
• Prices are shown on our website: pay as you go £35 per hour, or £30 per hour when you book a block of four or more lessons (minimum £120).
• Payment is due before the lesson takes place. A booking is confirmed once payment is received.
• Prices may change from time to time. The price you are quoted when you book applies to that booking; block bookings already paid for are not affected by later price changes.

There is no subscription, no rolling contract and no auto-renewal.

• Sessions are flexible and can be changed or cancelled — we confirm the notice period clearly when you book.
• Cancellations made with the required notice can be rescheduled free of charge, or refunded if you are paying as you go.
• Cancellations made with less than the required notice may be charged in full, as the tutor's time has been reserved for your child.
• If we need to cancel or move a lesson, we will offer an alternative time or a full refund for that lesson.

• Every tutor is fully qualified and vetted before they teach, and holds a current Enhanced DBS check.
• Each tutor is matched to the subjects and topics your child needs help with.
• Lessons take place in our secure, monitored online classroom. Students should be able to join from a quiet space with a suitable device.
• Tutoring is one-to-one between the assigned tutor and your child. Tutors may not be substituted without notice; if a tutor becomes unavailable, we will offer a replacement or a refund.

• Providing accurate information about your child's needs before the diagnostic and lessons.
• Ensuring your child can attend lessons on time and in a suitable environment.
• Making sure any device, software or account your child uses is appropriate and supervised as you see fit.

Tutoring supports your child's learning, but it cannot guarantee any particular grade, exam result or school outcome. Our diagnostic highlights which topics are realistically within reach, and lessons concentrate on making focused progress. Nothing on our website or said in a lesson should be read as a promise of a result.

Lessons must not be recorded, screenshotted or shared without the prior agreement of both us and the other participant. Students are expected to behave respectfully towards their tutor. We may end a lesson, without refund, if a student's behaviour is abusive or makes the tutor feel unsafe.

We are responsible to you for foreseeable loss and damage caused by our failure to provide the service properly or by our breach of these terms. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, for exam entry decisions or outcomes, or for anything beyond our reasonable control. We do not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

We handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be on this page. The terms that applied when you made a booking continue to govern that booking.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
